Measuring feet is only a guide and starting point. It is only by trying different shapes and styles of shoes that we can find the best fit for your child.

It is just as important to make sure we fit the correct shape of shoe to suit your child's feet. This will ensure the best fit possible and also help to maximise 'growing time' in shoes.

We offer a variety of shoes in whole and half sizes and different width fittings and have trained and conscientious staff who will expertly fit them.

Good quality fitted shoes have sufficient growing room to ensure a good fit throughout the life of the shoes. It is not necessary to buy a bigger size of shoe than the one we fit. Shoes that are too big can do as much damage as shoes that are too small.

We are always happy to check the fit of your child's shoes and would recommend that you have this done regularly. For very young children this would be between 6-8 weeks and for school aged children this would be twelve to sixteen weeks after their new shoes are fitted.

Please be aware that when your child's shoes are checked and their feet are now measuring a little bigger, this does NOT necessarily mean their current shoes are now too small. All good quality fitted shoes have growing room allowed for and a shoe that has been well fitted, taking into account the shape of your child's feet, should last a decent length of time.

We are always completely honest about whether your child actually needs shoes or not and would always advise that you get the most wear possible out of your current shoes before buying new ones!
